In 2004, Rolling Stone Magazine ranked Holly #13 on their list of the 100 Greatest Artists of All Time. Buddy Hollys music did not die with him. He had recorded so prolifically that his record label was able to release brand-new Buddy Holly albums and singles for 10 years after his death. Hollys simple demonstration recordings were overdubbed by studio musicians, to bring them up to then-commercial standards.
