Extended CD reissue of the collected works of The Diagram Brothers, the cult Manchester post-punk art noise band and John Peel favourites. Digitally remastered from the original studio tapes, the CD features 24 tracks and runs for 74 minutes. In addition to all 14 tracks from their 1981 album on the New Hormones label (founded by Buzzcocks), the CD also features ten bonus tracks from all four singles released between 1980 and 1982, including the cult favourites Bricks and Discordo, as well as the ultra-rare Diagram Brothers German EP. Often compared to XTC, Gang of Four and Fire Engines in their day, The Diagram Brothers invented and defined their sound 'discordo' as follows: "The music was made to a strict formula, or set of rules. All the guitar chords were based on discordant notes, all the beats were very simple rock or disco, and all the words very straightforward and down to earth." The CD features a deluxe 16 page booklet featuring facsimile artwork and detailed liner notes.
