Henry « Hank » Mobley est un saxophoniste de hard bop américain né le 7 juillet 1930 à Eastman (Géorgie) et mort le 30 mai 1986 à Philadelphie (Pennsylvanie). Il jouait du saxophone ténor dans un style situé entre l'agressivité de John Coltrane et la douceur de Stan Getz, c'est-à-dire avec un jeu subtil et mélodique. Il a accompagné Dizzy Gillespie, Max Roach, Art Blakey, Horace Silver, Kenny Dorham, Lee Morgan, Jimmy Smith, Herbie Hancock et Miles Davis. (Source Wikipédia)
