Double bill of the Japanese anime action dramas directed by Kazuchika Kise and Masahiko Murata. In 'Ghost Pain' (2013), in the aftermath of World War IV, cyborg and notorious hacker Motoko Kusanagi (voiced by Maaya Sakamoto) finds herself caught in the middle of an investigation concerning the recent bombing of Newport City. In 'Ghost Whispers' (2013), Batou (Matsuda Kenichirou) enlists former army intelligence officer Ishikawa (Tomoyuki Dan) and artillery expert Borma (Kazuya Nakai) to help investigate the hacking of the Logicomas.
