Low-budget sci-fi action feature. When an experiment for a revolutionary new source of energy creation goes wrong it causes an apocalyptic change in the world's weather systems and causes a number of huge hurricanes to rip through the US. As an increasing number of violent storms batter the planet, Dr Nathan Sims (Casper Van Dien) races to get his family to safety before a looming hypercane threatens to destroy America.
