Happy Tears

Jayne (Parker Posey) and Laura (Demi Moore) are two sisters who need to return home to help with their crude but endearing father Joe (Rip Torn) deal with the beginning stages of Alzheimer s. When they return to their childhood home to help their father, they face difficult, often comic situations. The two daughters argue back and forth over whose job it is to take care of Daddy, and since they both have completely different personalities, they argue over everything from the past as well. It doesn't help that Daddy has a live in stripper/druggie named Shelly (Ellen Barkin) hanging around, and that he's convinced there's buried treasure in the backyard.
