Recorded in secret in New York with producer Tony Viconti, 'The Next Day' was released a decade after Bowie's previous album, taking the world by storm with a surprise announcement on his 66th birthday. The album charted at #1 in the UK and in 15 other countries around the world, and gaining him the Brit Award for Best Male Solo artist.
