Ahmed Mukhtar, geboren in Bagdad, bespeelt sinds 1979 de oud en Arabische percussie. Hij won daar talloze prijzen mee. Dit is zijn nieuwste cd, met oude, nieuwe en ge´mproviseerde stukken uit het cultureel zo rijke Irak. Hij wordt begeleid door flamencogitaar, strijkkwartet en percussie.
