George Bernard Shaw's Caesar and Cleopatra

Alec Guiness and Genevieve Bujold take the lead roles in this 1976 television adaptation of George Bernard Shaw's popular work.

While leading his troops in Egypt Julius Caesar (Guiness) falls for the charms of the young Egyptian queen Cleopatra (Bujold). Determined to see her fulfil her potential and to help him tame Egypt Caesar schools her in the ways of politics and power. But the young queen has a mind of her own and it's not too long before she begins to exert her independent spirit with her own wishes and demands.
