Open Door : A true experience about a shabbily dressed man smelling of alcohol who approaches a courting couple who are arguing and urges them to treasure the love they share with each other. The Return of the Songbird : A mother's appeal to her independently minded daughter to stay within the protective walls of the family unit until she is mature enough to survive out in the 'big bad world'. Someone: The thought of getting hurt or rejected is everyone's fear when they reach out to others. Flickering Light: Someone who at a very young age seemed to have everything going for them, and 'burned very brightly' but failed to reach his potential.on the opposite side are those who live slower quiet lives like 'little candles that burn constantly' but are still around when these others are extinguished. Rise up from the Ashes: When you rebuild your life after a tragic event. More Than Just Words: Actions prove the matter.not words! Daystar: the 'Daystar' is non other than Jesus Christ who has promised a new world. Cinder Princess: Tongue in cheek song about me and my unglamourous appearance, but still being able to be happy with who I am! Let's not say Goodbye: About goodbyes that deep down we wish were not. Can You - This song I composed especially as a postcard to send to the local council offices as a way of appealing to their hearts about making safe a dangerous road that my daughter has to cross on her way to school. Innocence: The song is about the loss of innocence being a regret rather than a triumph.

I chose the title 'Spectrum of Life' because the songs reflect my life, the good times.falling in love, having children - 'who eventually leave the nest',surviving the traumas of life, the tragedies of life, saying goodbye and the regrets of life. All in all every song I have written connect like a huge diary that maps out my life!
