Far, Far from Ypres

De verschrikkingen van de loopgravengevechten tijdens WW1 in West-Vlaanderen zijn nog steeds onbeschrijflijk. De verliezen aan Britse zijde waren immens, maar de Schotten hebben meer verliezen per hoofd van de bevolking geleden dan enige andere geallieerde. Een cd met liederen over de Grote Oorlog vanuit Schots perspectief is dan ook een mooi initiatief van Greentrax. Deel 1 is gevuld met liederen die door de soldaten gezongen werden, deel 2 zijn nummers die geschreven werden over dit inktzwarte hoofdstuk uit de moderne geschiedenis.
