Het jaar 2009 is voor Schotland heel belangrijk, nl. 'The Year of Homecoming Scotland' en het is dan ook niet verrassend dat er de nodige cd's verschijnen met emigratie als thema. Zangeres Fiona Mackenzie heeft echter geen historisch album willen maken. Zij koos een twaalftal Gaelic liederen, oud en nieuw, bekend en onbekend, rond dit thema. Met medewerking van een aantal Schotse topmuzikanten is dit een mooi, sfeervol album geworden.
