Best friends Frances (Mary McCormack) and Shannon (Minnie Driver) find themselves in hot water when they accidentally come across evidence of a bank robbery and decide to take on the villains at their own game. The two friends try to set up a blackmail, but things go wrong almost immediately and an innocent tramp gets shot. The odds are stacked against them, but can Frances and Shannon learn the rudiments of shoot-outs and drop-offs in time to beat the crooks and collect the loot for themselves?
