Clive Owen stars as the eponymous character in this historical adventure directed by Antoine Fuqua. In the fifth century AD, the Romans are withdrawing from Britain and Arthur, a half-British Roman commander, is preparing to return home. He is given one last mission: to rescue an important Roman family from an advancing Saxon army. However, when Arthur and his men - Lancelot (Ioan Gruffudd), Tristan (Mads Mikkelsen), Gawain (Joel Edgerton), Galahad (Hugh Dancy), Bors (Ray Winstone) and Dagonet (Ray Stevenson) - discover that the Romans have tortured and enslaved the inhabitants, including Guinevere (Keira Knightley), they are determined to liberate the people and fight for their freedom from both Roman and Saxon rule. The cast also includes Stephen Dillane, Stellan Skarsgård and Til Schweiger.
