The Merseysippi Jazz Band is de oudste nog steeds optredende jazzband in Groot-BrittanniÙ. De groep is opgericht in 1949 en onverminderd populair. Met deze compilatie zijn nu alle oude opnames van deze groep leverbaar gemaakt. Deze cd bevat opnames voor het Esquire-label, plus zes bonustracks die ze ooit voor een groot label opgenomen hebben, met als speciale gast zanger Clinton Ford.
