Harlemania

Harlem is virtually unique: a vintage big band specialising in the music of Duke Ellington, Fletcher Henderson, McKinneys Cottonpickers, Jimmy Lunceford, Count Basie etc from the 1920s and 1930s. Using their own arrangements and transcriptions from the original recordings they are releasing this CD to celebrate their 25th anniversary. They made their first recording for the newly formed Lake Records in 1985 and it was the first recording made specially for the label.
