A Unique Blend Of Contemporary and Traditional Song from Scotland from a reformed version of a popular 1980s band. The re-formed Ideal Band bring together three of Scotland's most respected and experienced musicians touring professionally throughout the UK and internationally: Ken Campbell vocals/guitar/lute/smallpipes; Seylan Baxter cello/electric cello/vocals; Gavin Paterson piano/keyboards/vocals. Individually, with nine albums to date between them, they have performed in festivals, concerts, clubs, TV and radio throughout the UK, Ireland, Europe, and overeseas. In the 1980's "The Ideal Band" was one of Scotland's most successful and respected Celtic folk bands, following in the footsteps of Glasgow's "Bob Smith's Ideal Band" of the 1930's. The new line up brings a whole new unique sound and exciting approach to the world of Celtic music, blending Ken Campbell's essentially Scottish songs with the very best of musicianship.
