Het Engelse duo Spiers & Boden (harmonika & fiddle) gaat letterlijk als een speer: ze zijn momenteel de lieveling van de gehele Engelse folkscene door hun frisse en originele aanpak van traditionele folk. Ook hun releasetempo ligt hoog: slechts enkele maanden geleden verscheen 'Tunes'(FECD 192) met alleen instrumentalen, nu dan 'Songs' met, inderdaad, ballades.
