Following the release of lauded 'Bury the Moon' album and successful UK tour, Iceland's Asgeir is return with EP, 'The Sky Is Painted Gray Today'. Four textured, original tracks that've been long gestating and were recorded for the most part in 2019 in Hljodriti. Tracks 'The Sky Was Painted Gray Today', 'Sister' and 'Out On The Edge' feature poetic lyrics by Asgeir's father. They were penned in Icelandic initially and translated into English and reworked with the help of John Grant and Pétur Ben. It also includes the profound 'Sunday Drive', a detailed retelling of a car accident Asgeir experienced at the age of 7. The collection encompasses his signature emotive delivery, delicate yet expansive folk, and intricate acoustics.
