That's Entertainment continue to add to their classic "Music Theatre Hour" collection with 'Anything Goes', one of Cole Porter's greatest scores, telling of the fun and frolics aboard a cruise ship. This recording utilises the new orchestrations by Michael Gibson which proved a hit success in the Lincoln Center production, and a simply wonderfully realised performance from The National Symphony Orchestra under the auspices of John Owen Edwards.
Digitally recorded at Abbey Road Studios, this recording comes at a time when the show has just enjoyed yet another highly acclaimed revival cortesy of The National Theatre. Originally starring Elaine Paige the show transfered for a long West End run where the star of our very own recording, Louise Gold, took over the role. Here she appears alongside Broadway star Greg Edelman (Wonderful Town), Tara Hugo Paul Manuel, Katrina Murphy and Matt Zimmerman, providing another hour of long loved show tunes including "I Get A Kick Out Of You", "You're The Top", "Easy To Love", "Friendship", "It's De-Lovely", "Blow Gabriel Blow", "All Through The Night" and ofcourse "Anything Goes".
