The highly acclaimed version of Emmerich Kalman's masterpiece 'Countess Maritza'. First presented in Vienna in 1924, Countess Maritza, who is forever on her guard against fortune hunters, falls in love with her land superintendent, unaware that he is the aristocratic Count Tassilo.

The New Sadler's Wells Opera Chorus and Orchestra provide us with exquisite versions of such classics as "Luck Is a Golden Dream" and "When I Start Dreaming", digitally recorded at Abbey Road Studios.
