Re-release of one of TER's earliest recordings, the musical 'Peg' written by David Heneker.

David also wrote the hit Broadway musical and movie 'Half A Sixpence', starring Tommy Steele. Peg opened at the Phoenix Theatre London and is loosely based on the play "Peg O' My Heart" by J Hartly Manners and starred Sian Phillips, Edward Duke, Martin Smith, Patricia Michaels, David McAlister, Julia Sutton, John Hewer, Lisa Sadovy and Kim Smith.

It was also to feature the British Stage Debut of Ann Morrison in the title role of Peg, having just wowed audiences on Broadway with her appearance in Stephen Sondheim musical 'Merrily We Roll Along'. 'Peg' was recorded at PRT Studios in Digital sound.
