Als 1968 dieses letzte Album der Mamas & Papas vor der Auflösung der Gruppe erschien (die vier veröffentlichten 1971 noch die wenig erfolgreiche Reunion-LP "People Like Us"), war der Stern des Quartetts bereits am Sinken. Die Hits blieben aus, lediglich "Twelve-Thirty" erreichte einen bescheidenen Platz 20 in den USA. Doch rückblickend sind John Phillips' Folkrock-Songs von dieser Platte - etwa "Safe In My Garden", "Mansions" oder "For The Love Of Ivy" - kaum weniger attraktiv als seine großen Hits, und sie sind ab- wechslungsreicher arrangiert. Eine etwas "wärmere" Entzerrung der Höhen hätte der CD gutgetan.
