Michael Douglas and Glenn Close star in this thriller directed by Adrian Lyne. Dan Gallagher (Douglas), a successful lawyer and happily married man, has a brief fling with business associate Alex Forrest (Close), but finds her unwilling to call it off when he decides to return to his family. After a series of humiliating rejections, the spurned woman begins to plan her revenge, leading to a campaign of terror which endangers the lives of Dan and his family.
