Neues Studio-Album der legendären Folk / Rock Band – The Strawbs. Esoteric Antenna verkünden die Veröffentlichung von The Ferryman’s Curse, dem seit vielen Jahren ersten Album von Strawbs mit neuem Material. Es wurde von dem legendären Chris Tsangarides produziert, dessen Studio übersät ist von Diamant-, Platin- und Goldenen Platten von Thin Lizzy, Judas Priest und des Gitarren-Virtuosen Yngwie Malmsteen. Der Titel-Track des Albums The Ferryman’s Curse ist die epische Fortsetzung von The Vision Of The Lady Of The Lake aus dem Strawbs-Album Dragonfly und wurde von dem Produzenten Tony Visconti neben Alben von David Bowie und T Rex als eine der Top-6-Produktionen bewertet. The Nails From The Hands Of Christ wirft einen anspruchsvollen Blick auf die Beziehung von jungen Leuten zur Kirche. Bei The Familiarity Of Old Lovers begeistert textlich und mit Soli auf der doppelten Lead-Gitarre, The Song Of Infinite Sadness ist nicht so, wie er auf den ersten Blick scheint. Die derzeitige Besetzung von Strawbs umfasst David Cousins, Lead-Gitarrist Dave Lambert, Bassist Chas Cronk und Drummer Tony Fernandez, sie tourten gemeinsam und nahmen in den 1970ern auf. Begleitet werden sie von dem Keyboard- und Gitarren-Virtuosen Dave Bainbridge von Iona, einer Band die eine a mystische Mischung aus Rock, Folk, Celtic und Ambien Music erschuf und perfekt zu Strawbs passt.
