Auf kaum eine andere Band trifft der Begriff "Kult" besser zu als auf die Charlatans - sie zählen längst zu den etablierten Acts, umgeben sich aber immer noch gern mit dem Mäntelchen der Unabhängigkeit. Die Band geht dabei unbeirrt den Weg großer britischer Gitarre-plus-Truppen, kommt aber ungeheuer druckvoll. I Don't Want To See The Sights, der Aufmacher, ist das programmatische Musterbeispiel. Kein Ausreißer, nicht mal ein Ausrutscher, höchstens mal eine winzige Unsicherheit: ein sehr gelungenes Album.
