DESCRIPTION

The legendary live recording by The Who is officially released for the first time! This release captures their headlining performance at the "Goodbye Summer" rock concert, held on September 18, 1971, at The Oval cricket ground in Kennington, South London, in support of famine relief for Bangladesh. The audio has been newly mixed from the original 8-track analog multitrack tapes. Just about a month after the release of Who's Next, The Who delivered a performance that reaffirmed their status as one of the top live rock bands of the time, culminating in a dramatic finale with Pete Townshend (G) and Keith Moon (Ds) smashing their equipment. Japanese edition only in SHM-CD format.
