PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
The F-35 Lightning II is a multi-purpose fighter aircraft that was developed. Three types of F-35 were developed simultaneously: F-35A for the Air Force, F-35B for the Marine Corps and F-35C for the Navy, but the F-35B is the most ambitious type. The F-35B, developed as a successor to the Marine Corps operated AV-8B Harrier II, features a lifting fan installed between the cockpit and the engine and a rotating channel with three bearings that allows the alignment of the engine nozzle and is controlled there. The nozzle allows for a short take-off/vertical landing (STOVL). The aircraft also has supersonic flight capabilities, stealth characteristics and high situational awareness through sensor fusion.
