PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
The Toyota Celica GT-Four RC was developed as a homologation car for participating in global rally races and in 1992 5,000 units were sold worldwide. This car, with its curved, powerful body, features a 2-litre turbo engine with metal turbines and water-based intercooler system that produced 235 hp. The 4WD system utilized a medium visco coupling and a Torsen rear differential for excellent controllability and traction. In global rally races in 1993, the Celica GT-Four for Toyota (ST185) brought both the manufacturer and driver championships for the first time. The 58724 TAMIYA model in 1:10 scale is the proven TT-02 chassis. With this wheelbase, ground clearance, track and gear ratio can be adjusted many times and with the countless optional tuning parts, the chassis can be quickly tuned to a racer. The 4WD drive with central shaft, double wishbone and suspension struts on all four wheels ensure a true driving pattern and best traction. The chassis base is extra smooth and the battery compartment accommodates all common battery types. Visual highlight are the wheel carriers, which have attached dummy brake discs.
