The Ford Escort is a classic in the TAMIYA range. This reissue is a street custom version of the original kit 58335 from 2004 (then WRC version). The 1998 Ford Escort was originally powered by a 4 cylinder 2 litre engine with 500 hp. The TT-02 chassis serves as the basis for the 58691 TAMIYA model in 1:10 scale. With this wheelbase, ground clearance, track and gear ratio can be adjusted many times and with the countless optional tuning parts, the chassis can be quickly tuned to a racer. The 4WD drive with central shaft, double wishbone and suspension struts on all four wheels ensure a true driving pattern and best traction. The chassis base is extra smooth and the battery compartment accommodates all common battery types. Visual highlight are the wheel carriers, which have attached dummy brake discs.
