PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
The stand model is a recreation of the Japanese fighter with the name Kawasaki Ki-61 Hien. Due to the fact that the Ki-61 had owned a liquid-cooled engine, the Hien was apparently mistaken for a German aircraft and was therefore nicknamed "Tony". The fighter aircraft experienced the first combat operations in early 1943 and proved that it was quite competitive with a top speed of 580 km/h. The TAMIYA model kit version impresses with its high accuracy of fit as well as by attention to detail. Suitable for the 1:48 fighter aircraft, the Kurogane reconnaissance vehicle in scale 1:48 rounds off the diorama. The Kurogane was used with 4800 produced copies for the Japanese Army as well as for the Navy.
