PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
Plastic model kit of a Soviet fighter aircraft from the 1930s with 76 pieces. Length built 83 mm. The Soviet fighter aircraft I-16 was the symbol of the Red Army air forces in the 1930s. Its constructor, N. N. Polikarpow, has been referred to as the "king of fighter planes". The I-16 Type 5 was the second production version of this aircraft. With a new fairing and a more powerful M-25 engine, it reached speeds of up to 450 km/h. During production, the aircraft received new, reinforced wings, larger wheels and an open cockpit. Fighter aircraft of this type were used from 1936 to 1939 in the Spanish Civil War, in conflicts with Japan and Finland, as well as in the early stages of World War II.
