PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
1/72 KV 1. Plastic model kit of a Soviet WWII tank with 149 pieces. Length when built: 92 mm. Production of the heavy KV tanks with a 76 mm gun began in February 1940 at the Leningrad Kirov Plant (LKZ) - by 1943 over 5,000 KV-1s were built. This tank embodied the most advanced ideas of the time: individual torsion bar suspension, strong armor against enemy fire, resulting in a total weight of 45 tons. A 600 hp diesel engine combined with a powerful universal cannon that allowed it to shoot at enemy tanks as well as on their field fortifications, artillery and troops, made it one of the most effective combat vehicles of its time.
