Self Clear

This limited-edition colored vinyl release showcases Nao Yoshioka's sixth album "self," a deeply personal project shaped by her experiences touring 11 countries and reflecting on 13 years since her debut, blending neo-soul, indie R&B, Afrobeats, house, and spiritual jazz into a globally inspired work; featuring collaborations with artists including Bilal, Braxton Cook, Jamila Woods, My Anh, Keyon Harrold, Peter CottonTale, Khari Mateen, Devin Morrison, Sam Wills, Bnnyhunna, MXXWLL, and more from across the Americas, Europe, and Asia, the album embodies the WORLD SOUL COLLECTIVE philosophy of SWEET SOUL RECORDS while highlighting Yoshioka's evolution from vocalist to songwriter and storyteller, as she explores themes of light and shadow, strength and vulnerability, and self-acceptance, culminating in what she describes as "album therapy," a transformative creative process that embraces both her struggles and growth and delivers a powerful, intimate listening experience that continues her artistic journey forward.
