Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band (Reprise) - The End 2005年のアルバム『Chaos and Creation in the Backyard』リリース後の〈The 'US' Tour〉から、2005年11月1日のデンヴァー、ペプシ・センターでのライヴを収録！『Chaos 』はレディオヘッドなどを手がけたナイジェル・ゴッドリッチのプロデュースでポールが全ての楽器を一人で演奏した、2000年代の『McCartney』のような作品だったが、ツアーのメンバーには10年ぶりのツアー再開となった2002年の〈Driving World Tour〉から不動の4人が集い（その後、なんと現在まで不動のメンバー！）、鉄壁のアンサンブルを聴かせている。ツアーは2005年9月16日にマイアミからスタートし、11月30日のL.A.公演まで37公演とそれほど大きな規模のものではなかったが、翌年にはこのツアーのDVDがリリースされている。演奏された楽曲の大半はビートルズ・ナンバーで、そこに混じって『Chaos 』からの新曲が4曲。数曲のソロとウィングス・ナンバーという構成だが、なかなかレアな曲が選ばれているのが興味深い。このツアーで初めてライヴで披露されたビートルズの「I Will」、ジョンなしの「Please Please Me」、58年にクォリーメンとして録音し、95年の『Anthology』にも収録された「In Spite Of All The Danger」がライヴで初登場（DVDには未収録）。さらにはポールを批判するジョンへのアンサー・ソングとして作られた「Too Many People」（『Ram』収録）もライヴでやるのは初めて。そういったマニア心をくすぐる一面をもった内容なのだ。長時間の演奏ではあるが、バンドでの演奏からピアノやアコギでの弾き語りまで、まったく飽きさせないのはさすが。ファン必聴の音源！
