カナダ人のハンナとリブは、旅行先のオーストラリアでクレジットカードが使用できなくなった事を知る。所持金の底をついた2人は、ワーキングホリデーの事務所に駆け込み、片田舎のパブ「ロイヤルホテル」での住み込みの仕事を紹介される。2人は、紹介されたパブに到着するが、仕事場は傍若無人なオーナーとセクハラまがいの言動を繰り返す常連客の接客という劣悪な職場。そんなアルバイト生活にハンナは不安を抱くのだが…。
