Unter den vier komponierenden Söhnen von Johann Sebastian Bach ist Johann Christoph Friedrich (1732-1795) heute der am wenigstens bekannte. Der Hauptgrund hierfür dürfte seine Stellung als Hofkapellmeister in Bückeburg sein, das, anders als die Wirkungsstätten seiner Brüder, damals weit abseits der Musikmetropolen lag. Zeitgenossen priesen u.a. sein virtuoses Klavierspiel, was Jermaine Sprosse nach dem eingehenden Studium von dessen Klavierwerken nur bestätigen kann. Auf PROSPERO legt er ein Album mit ausgewählten, besonders gelungenen Stücken des "Bückeburger" Bach vor.
