Mexican Mysteries

After more than 10 years of silence and 40 years of band history, the Swiss hard rock band Rash Panzer released the successful album “Liberation” in December 2023, followed by the albums “Born to Rock’n’Roll” and the remastered edition of “Back on the Rocks.” Their current album “Mexican Mysteries” is now set to build on these successes and tells the true story of Rash Panzer’s origins. “Liberation” was about regaining our freedom, while “Born to Rock’n’Roll” was about how we use it, according to bandleader and singer JJay Guertchakoff. “The album is about how everyone—whether you or me—has to look deep within themselves to find the necessary energy or strength to make a change and fulfill their destiny. The songs are about freedom and the free will given to each of us to improve our own lives and the lives of others and to fulfill our mission.” So says the charismatic frontman about their current LP. The band was founded in 1979 in Geneva, Switzerland, and has been serving up hard, powerful, and handcrafted rock music to their fans ever since. Following their single “Heavy Leaders” in 1984, Rash Panzer released their first EP, “Rock ‘n Roll Street,” in 1988, which was produced by Dennis Weinreich (Jeff Beck, Procol Harum, etc.). The following year, they toured extensively along the U.S. East Coast and subsequently even made it into the U.S. charts.Back in Europe, they recorded the album “Rated X,” this time produced by Rudy Lenners (Scorpions). This was followed by the live album “Wild, Raw and Live,” before things gradually quieted down for the band. Then, in 2013, came the highly acclaimed Rash Panzer comeback with the album “Back on the Rocks.” However, it took another 10 years for the band to show signs of life again with the release of the album “Liberation” in 2023. But here are Rash Panzer: louder, harder, and more motivated than ever before! “Mexican Mysteries” is a bold statement that you’re never too old for good hard rock, whether as a musician or a fan!
