Eskhatophonia

Dark A Cappella - dark music without instruments. At the end of 2023, with the release of their first studio album Eskhatophonia, the band Stimmgewalt defines an entirely new and varied genre. With 7 female and 5 male singers, unexplored worlds of sound are created, whose facets can be rediscovered through each song. The exploration of the dark side of polyphonic singing is thus perfectly successful: an unforgettable listening experience. On stage, Stimmgewalt have already made a name for themselves over the past decade. Now here is their first studio album, produced by Chris Harms (Lord of the Lost). The common thread threading Eskhatophonia ("sounds of the end of all things") is the end of time and the prophecy of what might await us next. Twelve varied songs draw the listener into an apocalyptic (audio) vision, embedded in the inimitable sound of vocal power.
