Profiled keyboardist, highly decorated hit composer and musical multi-stylist: For Jan Hammer, genre boundaries have always been there to be crossed. His extensive body of work spans a spectrum from jazz and prog to classical and pop. After an almost 10-year break from records, the Czech-born exceptional artist released his album in 2018: „Seasons Pt. 1“ - now the follow-up, „Seasons Pt. 2“, is in the starting blocks. During the Corona break, most people had enough time: some renovated their house, others learned an instrument - and a musical multi-talent like Jan Hammer used the time to compose, record and produce his new album. Single-handedly, of course. The result is a worthy successor to his critically acclaimed album „Seasons Pt. 1“. „Seasons Pt.2“ contains 14 instrumental pieces, sometimes classical, sometimes jazzy, then again loungy. Although no single style can define the album, Hammer himself describes it as „cinematic“ and a collection of „pop songs without words.“
