Aus den Winterlandschaften Finnlands erheben sich Brymir und trotzen Eis und Frost mit "Wings Of Fire". Mit seiner Hauptband lässt Joona Björkroth (Battle Beast) den Himmel unter dem Klang von Gitarre und Schlagzeug erzittern. Finnischer Metal, das sind klangvolle Namen wie Amorphis, Stratovarius und Ensiferum. BRYMIR haben diese Essenz in sich aufgesogen, gehen aber noch einen vollen Schritt weiter. Die Orchestrierung trägt die Handschrift von Blind Guardian und frühen Nightwish, aber auch Wintersun, und die rasanten Gitarrenabfahrten erinnern gelegentlich an Children Of Bodom. Epik, Gefühl, Tempo und die Mitternachtsromantik der tausend Seen fließen in komplexe Songs, deren Sinn für packende Melodik freien Lauf gelassen wird. "Wings Of Fire" ist ein Album von fantastischer Größe.
