The poem cycle "novembrig" by Swiss lyricist Elsbeth Maag describes the natural of dying and death as a self-evident stage in the everlasting process of becoming and passing. In vivid images, the poet approaches the preferred repressed topic - delicately gentle and encouraging. Her verses of beguiling sensuality, conciliatory and at the same time keeping the secret. Ulrich Zeitler's setting of 2021/22 was stimulated by the Swiss cultural promoter Alois Bischof. The basis is the high German version of the text written in Swiss dialect in 1997 by the poet in 2017. Zeitler's composition can be inspired by the richness of colours and images that the powerfully concise words of the lyricist awaken in the reader. She hears and senses into the atmospheric density, into the untold between the lines. From the many layers of the theme, a cosmos of sounds emerges that makes the heaviness easy.
