Die lebendige und überreiche Musikkultur des deutschen Hochbarock wurde von vielen Komponisten geprägt, die heute teilweise oder gar gänzlich in Vergessenheit geraten sind. Dies ist oftmals allerdings eher dem Zufall als der Qualität der Musik geschuldet. Astrid Knöchlein und ihr Ensemble haben sich in Archiven und Bibliotheken auf die Suche nach solch vergessenen Perlen der deutschen Barockmusik gemacht und legen in der vorliegenden Aufnahme eine Auswahl von Oboen- und Blockflötensonaten auf historischem Instrumenten vor - nicht wenige von ihnen in Weltersteinspielungen!
