Der Grundgedanke dieses Albums ist, das Schlagwerkinstrumentarium möglichst in seiner vollen Bandbreite zu präsentieren. Dabei soll der Fokus auf der Entstehung neuer Klänge und Sounds liegen. So kommt es, dass in pure neben dem klassischen akustischen Instrumentarium auch künstliche Sounds, Alltagsgegenstände und Elemente aus unserer Umwelt wie Wasser, Holz und Eisen zum Einsatz kommen.
