Die Geige, das Cello, das Klavier, sie sind gesegnet mit einem unüberschaubaren Reichtum an konzertanten Werken durch alle Epochen. Für den Komponisten Fabian Müller (*1964) war es deshalb besonders reizvoll, Solokonzerte für zwei in der klassischen Musik sonst eher stiefmütterlich behandelte Instrumente zu schreiben. Insbesondere das Heckelphon dürfte vom Klang her nur wenigen ein Begriff sein.
