Gabiz Reichert: Rupert's Tear: Works for Solo Piano

Gabiz Reichert (1994) is a Swiss pianist who distinguishes himself through his well thought-out programs and creative interpretations in concerts, most of which he presents himself. A winner of national and international competitions (including prizes and awards from the Barenreiter publishing house, the SUISA Foundation and the Vienna International Music Competition), he has given piano recitals in Switzerland, Germany, Austria, Spain, Finland and Japan, where he was the first Swiss pianist to receive an invitation to the famous Sendai International Piano Competition.

The program of the CD with works by Schumann, Rachmaninoff and others presents itself as a unity of three parts: Images that convey different facets of the principle of return. They are all inspired by various influences that defy conventional interpretation, as the pianist explains in an accompanying text.
