A good song is a good song. It must work in any robe it is put into- from the inflated stadium rock to the most intimate acoustic frame. The Swedish dark symphonic metal high flyers ELEINE have internalized this little wisdom and anchored it deep in their artistic integrity. The effortless change between their bombastic side and the deeply captivating acoustic robe of their brand new 8-track EP "Acoustic in Hell" cannot be explained differently. For the first time in their steep career, ELEINE turn off the amplifiers to create a completely new musical experience world - not entirely by chance exactly in time for their highly anticipated acoustic tour with metal veterans Sonata Arctica. "We had never made acoustic versions of our music before, so you can speak of a challenge," says singer Madeleine with a grin. "The most important thing about these versions was to preserve the essence of metal, leaving the songs authentic and raw. Our music has weight, and you have to be careful that it doesn't sound too overproduced and sweetly," adds Rikard. Recorded within a week in January 2022 at the The Panic Room Studio of her good friend Thomas "Plec" Johansson in Skara, "Acoustic in Hell" is enhanced by an outstanding performance from Madeleine Liljestam, who recorded her complete vocal tracks in fabulous three hours - or better say: exorcised ELEINE likes her distorted guitars, her symphonic Praechech. and have given off their thundering drums on this album in the anteroom. Even more astonishing, however, they have managed to create an entirely new acoustic sound world while remaining true to their original Dark Symphonic Metal, which thousands will still fall in love with over the next few years.
