Musically active since the mid-nineties, the formation Absurd Minds originated from Dresden with its unique mix of energetic electro and melodiously catchy (future) pop sounds within no time at all to become an internationally influential scene band. With "Gravitas", Absurd Minds present their now eighth studio album. On eleven songs, the band repeatedly demonstrates their versatility in songwriting. In addition to powerful, fast, dynamic tracks, it is also the slower, balladesque tones that unfold their suction and in which the band has been showing their strengths for years. After gravity has gained a scientific significance, it becomes a figurative weight with "Gravitas". So the album is to be understood as a call to meet the adversities of our time, just like the old Roman virtue, resting in itself, to mentally take the heavy weight of everyday life and not to let the world "out there" permanently "fog" in. All of this with the proper portion of seriousness and dignity.
