"Music For Riots Revolutions & Showdowns" ist der erste Teil einer Serie von zeitgenössischen "Library Music" - Veröffentlichungen auf dem französischen Soullabel Q-Sounds. Die zwölf vorliegenden atmosphärischen Instrumentaltracks stammen von dem moldavischen Produzenten Rob D. Vulosic, der mit der Q-Sounds-Studio-Rhythmusgruppe die Breakbeats arrangierte, die er mit vielen weiteren Instrumenten in flächigen Patterns veredelte. Unter den schweren Grooves mit Fokus auf 90s Hip Hop, Raw Funk und Jazzy Breaks zirkulieren tiefe Bass-Loops, Rhodes, Flöten, 80's Synths und morriconeske Pfeifen spitzen die Tracks dramatisch zu - dark, jazzy und abstrakt. Gerüchten, dass sich hinter dem Alias Vulosic der vielbeschäftigte Norman Smuggler verbirgt, wird vom Label entschieden widersprochen.
