On Tonsils and Sneakers

As FOGHAT fans eagerly await the follow-up to their recent chart-topping hit 'Sonic Mojo', the band releases a brand new tribute song, 'On Tonsils & Sneakers', dedicated to lead singer and guitarist Lonesome Dave Peverett, who passed away in 2000. The inspiration for the song's affectionate title comes from Peverett's characteristic stage intro '.and on tonsils and sneakers, I'm Lonesome Dave' and is a tribute to the iconic shiny silver or gold trainers he always wore on stage.'Black Days & Blue Nights', the B-side of the 7' single comes from 'Sonic Mojo. The song was composed by the current FOGHAT line-up in memory of Rod Price, the band's original slide guitarist who passed away in 2005.Founding member Roger Earl continues to keep the music of FOGHAT alive, always paying respect to the band's roots and honouring the lasting legacy of Dave and Rod.
